Client Profile

Challenges faced by the Client

Challenges faced by the Client
  • As the Organization had recently initiated the implementation of a Business continuity Management system (BCMS), it faced several early-stage challenges in aligning its operation with ISO 22301:2019 requirements
  • As the audit conducted was through online mode it was challenging that the verification of the documents couldn’t be done at its best
  • The Organization depended on multiple suppliers for critical elevator components. Any disruption in procurement or logistics could directly impact manufacturing output and installation timelines, increasing the importance of robust continuity planning.
  • While documented procedures existed, ensuring that department heads, supervisors, and site teams fully understood and applied BCMS roles during potential disruptions required focused attention.
  • Beyond documentation, with clear evidence that business continuity arrangements were actively implemented, tested, and reviewed across manufacturing, installation, and maintenance operations.

Solution Provided by Nbiz

Solution Provided by Nbiz
  • To address the challenges associated with the recent implementation and low maturity of the BCMS, We suggested a structured, phased, and practical approach aligned with ISO 22301:2019 requirements.
  • We reassessed critical business processes, dependencies, and disruption scenarios relevant to elevator parts manufacturing and installation. Recovery time objectives (RTOs) were validated against actual operational needs, and risks related to supply chain interruptions, equipment failure, manpower availability and site constraints were re-evaluated to ensure continuity strategies remained practical and effective.
  • Existing business continuity plans, procedures, and records were refined to improve clarity, usability, and audit readiness. Roles and responsibilities were clearly defined, escalation and communication mechanisms were strengthened, and documentation was aligned with real operational practices while maintaining strict document control and version management.
  • We supported the Organization in planning and documenting BCMS testing through tabletop exercises and realistic disruption scenarios. Outcomes were analyzed, lessons learned were recorded, and corrective actions were implemented, clearly demonstrating continual improvement and effective system maintenance.
  • We prepared teams through a mock audit and provided on-site support during the surveillance audit to ensure smooth coordination and confident audit interactions.
